McFalls, Boyertown sink Upper Merion, lock up PAC playoff spot

Boyertown 16, Upper Merion 4 >> The Bears marked their Senior Night observance by rolling over the Vikings in their PAC contest to lock up the fourth and final league playoff position.

Brady McFalls led the way with his four-goal showing. Boyertown (6-3 PAC) also benefited from Mason Turner’s hat trick and another two goals from Jason Clinton in his return from a hand injury.

The Pioneer Athletic Conference semifinals are Tuesday at Owen J. Roberts. The Bears face No. 1 seed Spring-Ford.

Pope John Paul II 16, Pottsgrove 1 >> The Golden Panthers were all over the Falcons on their way to a PAC win.

James Poot finished with four goals and two assists while Justin Kent added three goals. Alex McElroy and Zach Galie had two goals apiece.

Owen J. Roberts 15, Methacton 7 >> The Wildcats used a 13-6 scoring advantage from the second quarter on to pull away from the Warriors and win this PAC Liberty Division tilt.

Logan Clefisch had a game-high four goals for OJR, which got 14-save goaltending from J.C. Capaldo. Stanley Kolimago was Methacton’s offensive leader with a hat trick while Harvey Smith provided 16-save goaltending.

Wilson 11, Daniel Boone 3 >> Anthony Stevenson accounted for all the Blazers’ scoring in their Berks Conference loss to the Bulldogs.

Greg Hensley (six) and Jared Glanski combined to give Boone 10-save goaltending.

Perkiomen School 7, Church Farm 4 >> Miles Longstreth and Harrison Gavin each scored three goals and assisted on a fourth to lead the Panthers past Church Farm School in their non-league game.

Seth Willis completed Perkiomen’s point collection, with Liam Brassington and Peter Choi adding assists.
