Michaela Batten put home a pass from fellow senior Zyah Newsome 1:30 into the second overtime period to lift Academy Park to an 11-10 nonleague girls lacrosse victory over Oxford Monday.
Newsome and fellow senior Riley Street scored in the last two minutes to send the game into overtime. Street finished with five goals. Newsome and senior Angeliqua Ortiz finished with two goals and one assist apiece.
In other nonleague action:
Chichester 11, Upper Darby 7 >> Maura Murray tallied five times and Hayley Fritz found the back of the net four times to lead the Eagles.
Ali Cucinotta scored three times for Upper Darby.
Notre Dame 14, Shawnee (N.J.) 10 >> Mackenzie Irvine, Kelly Coyle, Hannah Gillespie and Claire Nappi compiled some impressive numbers for the Irish.
Irvin had three goals, two assists, three caused turnovers and one ground ball. Coyle also collected three goals and two assists to go with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Gillespie finished with three goals, one ground ball and one caused turnover, and Nappi added three goals one assist, three caused turnovers, two draw controls and one ground ball.
In the Catholic Academies League:
Sacred Heart 21, St. Basil 17 >> Danielle Santora poured in 11 goals and handed out two assists for the Lions. Hanna Seifried added five goals and three assists, while Maura Gibson chipped in with two goals.
