Daly plays the overtime hero for Haverford

Jack Daly saved his best for last Thursday night.

Daly scored twice and added three assists, but his tally with 44 seconds left in the first overtime period was the game-winner as Haverford upended Strath Haven, 11-10, in a Central League tilt.

Nick DiIorio scored four times for Haverford (8-5, 5-3), which got nine saves from Danny Tierney.

Jeffrey Conner led Strath Haven (10-4, 5-2) with five goals and three assists, while Tyler Fink fired home four goals for Haven.

Marple Newtown 10, Ridley 7 >> Alex Viola lit the lamp four times, and Jake Long and James Kelly added two goals apiece for the Tigers.

Radnor 16, Penncrest 2 >> Kyle Albany’s hat trick paced a Radnor rout. Westy McLaughlin (two goals, two assist), Drew Brown (two goals, assist) and Alex Bernicker (goal, three assists) also contributed to the Raiders’ effort, which included a 7-0 margin in the third quarter.

Springfield 16, Lower Merion 3 >> Mike Tulskie scored five times, and Mike Vent paired a hat trick with two assists to fuel Springfield (11-2, 7-1) to an 11th straight win. Kyle Long had five assists to go with a goal, and Joey DeBernardi dished two helpers to augment his goal.

In the Inter-Ac:

Malvern Prep 12, Haverford School 9 >> Luke O’Grady scored four goals and an assist, and TJ Malone added a goal and two assists, but the Fords scored just twice after halftime. Scott Deck added two goals for the Fords (8-5, 4-2).
