Lindsay sisters lead Upper Perkiomen past Upper Merion, 7-0

Upper Perkiomen 7, Upper Merion 0 >> Taylor Lindsay threw a two-hitter, and she and sister Morgan Lindsay had two of the Tribe’s biggest bats in their Pioneer Athletic Conference Frontier Division shutout of the Vikings.

Taylor fanned 14 while walking none, and she and Morgan (2-for-4, two RBI) had back-to-back home runs in UP’s three-run seventh — Taylor plating two runs with her blast. Sarah Heidler and Alyssa Sullivan also went 2-for-4 with doubles for UP, with Karlee Fretz hitting another two-bagger.

Phoenixville 4, Pope John Paul II 3 >> The Phantoms topped the Golden Panthers behind a solid pitching performance from Jess Eldridge.

Eldridge allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits, and she also recorded six strikeouts in seven innings of work. The Phoenixville offense was provided by Jess Anthony (triple and RBI), Emily Buckwalter (double and RBI), and singles from Melissa Cappelli, Susan Duncan, Miranda McMahon and Katie Rutledge.

Owen J. Roberts 4, Perkiomen Valley 3 >> Scoring three times in the bottom of the third inning, the Wildcats overtook the Vikings to win their PAC Liberty Division pairing.

Darby Stuart had a triple and two RBI to lead OJR, with Brittney Dellaquila getting the pitching decision. PV pitcher Abby Wild tried to support her mound efforts with a home run and three RBI, but the effort fell short of fruition.

West-Mont Christian 17, Barrack Hebrew 4 >> Grace Flynn pitched a complete game and drove in four runs to key the Wings’ Tri-County League win over the Cougars.

Flynn fanned four and allowed just eight hits; additionally, she scored four times for West-Mont. Morgan Stimson hit two triples and drove in three runs while Katarina Sobolewski and Emmy Jenkins each had three RBI.
