Dave Hogarth bashed a single that brought home Tyler Dunbar in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Fords nipped Springside Chestnut Hill, 2-1, in an Inter-Ac game.
Bryan Hyland brought home All-Delco Tommy Toal in the first inning for Haverford’s other run.
In the Central League:
Marple Newtown 7, Haverford 1 >> All-Delco Cameron Mathes was 3-for-4 while scoring twice, Scott Hahn went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored and All-Delco Aiden Mathes was 2-for-3 with a run as the Tigers (6-4, 5-4) mauled the Fords.
Dylan Resnick smashed a home run to put Haverford on the board.
In the Catholic League:
Cardinal O’Hara 8, Conwell-Egan 1 >> Michael Davis fueled the Lions’ rout with two hits, two runs scored and three runs batted in, while Isaiah Hammond and Brian Bromley each smacked a pair of hits and scored two runs as O’Hara (6-7, 4-4) rolled.
