Colin Kennedy struck out 11 in a complete-game effort while Hatboro-Horsham’s three runs it scored in the bottom of the second inning were enough to beat Upper Dublin 3-1 in a Suburban One League American Conference contest Friday afternoon.
The Hatters (5-4, 4-2 conference) had just one hit – a single by Kennedy in the fifth – in earning their third straight win. Hatboro-Horsham’s run in the second came on a wild pitch, error and fielder’s choice.
Jason O’Gara brought home the lone run for Upper Dublin (3-5, 2-4) with his RBI double in the fourth.
Lansdale Catholic 6, Wissahickon 2 >> Lansdale Catholic scored the first six runs — the last four coming in the bottom of the fourth inning — to claim a 6-2 non-league victory over Wissahickon.
Ryan Ungurean, Joe Montagna and Bryce Cunningham each collected an RBI for the Crusaders. Richie Bass and Joe Gaumer both had two hits.
Matt Shilling was 2-for-3 with a double for the Trojans.
