Eckman lifts Methacton past Hatboro-Horsham in walk-off fashion

Methacton 7, Hatboro-Horsham 6 >> The Warriors’ second walk-off win of the week came about when Jason Eckman scored Conor Smith from first with a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Demetrio Rodriguez, Danny Visnov, Jordan Lukas and Smith each had two hits to help Methacton (5-4) pull even with the Hatters off a five-spot in the sixth. Rodriguez got the pitching win off two innings of no-hit, one-walk relief.

Daniel Boone 9, Twin Valley 0 >> Devon Garner and Matt Stevens each finished with a double and a home run during the Blazers’ cross-divisional Berks Conference win over the Raiders.

Stevens finished a clean 4-for-4 with two runs scored out of the lead-off spot while Garner finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Brett Goodrich and Connor Cleaver combined for the three-hit shutout.

Owen J. Roberts 5, Wilson 3 >> A three-run fifth enabled the Wildcats to pad a narrow lead on the Bulldogs and secure the non-league victory.

Austin Levengood, Ryan Cusic and Bobby Walker all had RBI for Roberts, which also got 2-for-3 hitting from Walker and Joe Skonieczny. Mike Deviney, throwing one-hit, four-strikeout ball through the first three innings, got the pitching win while Ben Hakun picked up the save.

Perkiomen School 3, Quakertown 2 >> The Panthers pulled even with a two-run fifth inning, then added the game-winner in the bottom of the sixth during a non-conference win over Quakertown.

David Smith picked up the win, giving up just two hits and a walk in three innings of relief. Nathaniel Urbina had Perk’s lone hit while Josh Cruz and Smith finished with RBIs. Vik Morelock was 2-for-3 for Quakertown.
