Tran hits half-century mark in career wins for Academy Park

Kevin Tran picked up his 50th career varsity win as Academy Park swept singles play to tally a 3-2 win over Glen Mills in Del Val action.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Oxford 7, Sun Valley 0 >> Hunter Hoffman and Shawn Burton battled the Oxford duo of Logan Shafer and Joshua Finnefrock to a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) setback at second doubles in the closest the Vanguards got to a point. Second singles player Gabe Boccella also lost a three-set decision.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Haverford School 6, Penn Charter 1 >> Neetish Sharma and Thomas Ward survived a three-set battle at second singles, as did Cole Wolf and Michael Pilkington at third singles as the Fords rolled.

In the Catholic League:

Cardinal O’Hara 4, Lansdale Catholic 1 >> Ryan Shields and Luke Savage won handily at second and third singles, respectively, as the Lions (4-5 overall, 4-2 league) coasted.
