Bonner & Prendie’s Weis, Brady reach 100-goal milestone together

We all know lightning can strike the same place twice, rare as it seems.

Teammates going over the career 100-goal mark in the same lacrosse game?

Totally unheard of until Keeley Weis and Paige Brady completed the extraordinary daily double in the same minute Tuesday to spark Bonner-Prendergast to a 22-3 win over John W. Hallahan in PCL action.

Brady hit the century mark with 13:42 to play in the first half; Keeley joined her in the 100-goal club 40 seconds later. Weiss finished with five goals, Brady four.

Lindsey Fagan added two goals, one assist and two draw controls for MBAP.

In nonleague action:

Haverford 17, Cape Henry 8 >> Laura Winters registered four goals and one assist to spark the Fords.

Nora Janzer chipped in two goals, two assists, four draw controls and three ground balls for the Fords, Lydia Hetznecker two goals, two assists and three draw controls, Sydney Corcoran two goals.

Springfield 16, Norfolk Academy (Va.) 6 >> Junior Olivia Little scored a career-high eight goals to power the Cougars.

Bridget Whitaker added two goals and two assists, and won six faceoffs. Kristen Methlie chipped in three goals, Maggie O’Connell two, and Julie Schickling had the other goal for the Cougars.

The spring break road trip continues with the Cougars taking on Bullis School (Md.) Thursday.

In Del Val action:

Chichester 12, Penn Wood 4 >> Adrian Willoughby deposited four goals and two assists to lift Chi to the victory. Hailee Smarkola and Madison Weigand contributed two goals each, Jackie Strain two assists.

Nikesha Grant scored two goals for the Patriots. Goalie Ashley Cadet stopped 15 shots.
