Long, Tulskie bring back decisive win for Springfield

Springfield’s trip to Long Island proved to be a fruitful one.

All-Delco Kyle Long tied a career-high with seven assists, and Mike Tulskie paired five goals with three assists as the Cougars dropped Lindenhurst (N.Y.) 12-5, in a nonleague game.

Long also chipped in a goal, while Jack Spence and Joey DeBernardi each tallied twice as Springfield (5-2) collected its fifth straight win after starting the season 0-2.

All-Delco James Spence stopped eight shots for the Cougars, and Andrew Pickett won 13 of 20 faceoffs.

In other nonleague action:

Haverford School 11, Southern Lehigh 6 >> TJ Malone continued his hot streak with four goals for the Fords (5-2), Parker Henderer stopped 10 shots and Connor Devine had two goals and an assist as Haverford cruised to its fifth consecutive win.

Ridley 10, Berks Catholic 8 >> Cade Stratton and Devon Tavani each snapped home a hat trick and Zane Johnston had a goal and an assist to jumpstart the Green Raiders’ fifth straight triumph.

George Santilla was stout in goal, stopping 13 shots for Ridley (6-2).
