After Biren Reddy won at No. 1 singles for the Big Red, Connor Lees and Will McDevitt both won in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively, to kickstart a 4-2 Fords win.
Emilio Fink and Michael Pilkington had an impressive win at No. 3 doubles, losing the opening set 5-7 before roaring back with 7-5 and 6-2 wins.
In the Catholic League:
Cardinal O’Hara 5, Father Judge 0 >> The tandem of Martin Meenan and Pat McCarry didn’t drop a game in their straight-set win at No. 1 doubles and Andrew Shuda, Ryan Shields and Luke Savage breezed through their singles matches in the Lions’ blanking of the Crusaders.
In the Del Val League:
Chichester 4, Academy Park 1 >> Joe Hagel (6-3, 7-5) and Cliff Paasewe (6-2, 6-4) each won in straight sets and the Eagles swept the doubles matchups to down the Knights.
Phi Tang earned a measure of retribution for AP with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles.
