Perkiomen Valley edges out Owen J. Roberts, 5-4

Perkiomen Valley 5, Owen J. Roberts 4 >> The Vikings broke a 4-4 tie with a run in the top of the fifth inning to claim a PAC Liberty Division win over the Wildcats.

Mike Gama reached base three times to go along with a double an RBI and a run scored while Matt Szczesny had a double and a run scored. Dylan Boyd picked up the win on the mound, taking over in the fourth inning and scattering four hits and a walk. OJR’s top of the lineup did damage as Andrew Fisher, Austyn Levengood and Josh Fulmer (RBI-double) each finished with a hit and a run scored.

Spring-Ford 10, Norristown 1 >> Ethan Hellberg launched a home run for the second straight game as the Rams blew past the Eagles in PAC Liberty Division play.

Conor Larkin also blasted a home run while Sam Barletta posted a double as Spring-Ford was all over its hosts from the start, running out to a 7-0 lead. Jake Kelchner posted two hits out of the lead-off spot while Nick Brauer picked up the win on the mound, scattering one hit across four innings before Thomas Hughes pithed the final three frames.

Upper Merion 16, Pottsgrove 2 >> Upper Merion got a 4-for-4 day from Matt Choi in a five-inning PAC Frontier win over Pottsgrove.

Choi drove in two runs, as did Mike Hutchinson (2 hits), Jonathan Eyer (2-for-3), Jake McGrath and Sal Costello. Anthony Littlewood went all five for UM, allowing just two hits with three strikeouts.

Pope John Paul II 9, Pottstown 4 >> The Golden Panthers picked up a PAC Frontier Division win over the Trojans.

Perkiomen School 4, George School 1 >> David Smith limited George School to just five hits across six innings of work during a non-conference win.

Smith struck out five and walked one en route to an unearned run during the sixth inning before Nick Guadarrama struck out the side in the seventh to close it out. Chris Pow scored twice out of the lead-off spot while David Smith finished with a hit and a run scored. Jayden Kemp blasted an RBI-triple.

Daniel Boone 11, Tamaqua 6 >> Devon Garner blasted a three-run shot during the Blazers’ non-conference win over Tamaqua.

Garner finished 2-for-4 for the day with four RBI and two runs scored while Brendan Rivoli was 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Matt Henderson picked up the win, scattering five runs on two hits and three strikeouts.
