Reporter Area Boys Volleyball Wrap

Dock 3, Haverford 2 >> The Pioneers survived a five-set battle on Tuesday night.

Dock won 25-23, 22-25, 26-28, 25-17 and 15-13 in a thriller.
Defensively, Dock was led by sophomore Libero Connor Derstine with nine digs, Jeremy Yoder with 12 digs and Jaden Hunsberger with 13 digs. Offensively Jason Landis led the team’s hitting percentage hitting and incredible 90 percent with 9 kills on 10 attempts. Lincoln Bergey led the team in kills with 22.
From the service line Jaden Hunsberger came up with seven aces, Lincoln Bergey added four. Dock’s record is 1-0 overall, 1-0 in League play. They have a busy week ahead with matches Wednesday, home opener against William Tennent, Thursday away against Glen Mills and Friday home against Lansdale Catholic.
Pennridge 3, North Penn 1 >> The Rams won their opener, led by Corey Quaste’s 34 assists.
Pennridge hosts Quakertown Friday.
