Villa Joseph Marie High School earns silver at PA Track & Field Classic

Plymouth Meeting >> Four runners from Villa Joseph Marie High School teamed up to take a second-place ribbon in the 33rd annual Pennsylvania Track & Field Coaches Association (PTFCA) Classic March 25 at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School.

Camila Drobac, Abby Zwall, Katie Irelan and Brianna Kling turned in a district-qualifying time of 9:46.1 in the

4×800 meter relay to earn a runnerup medal in the Classic.

Kling also earned an individual silver medal in the 3,200-meter run with her time of 12:03.03. Irelan came in fifth in the event in 12:11.84.

Drobac captured a bronze medal in the 800-meter run with her district-qualifying time of 2:25.5. Kaela Jolibois also qualified for districts with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 59.79.

Zwall also took sixth in the 1,600-meter run, finishing the race in 5:41.03. Lily Dineen took an eighth-place medal with her time of 5:45.5.

Kaela Jolibois, Nadia O’Hara, Katie Schramm and Navya Kotha teamed up to take sixth in the 4×100-meter relay, turning in a time of 52.21.

Kotha earned an eighth-place medal in the 100-meter hurdles after crossing the finish line in 17.79.

Katie Schramm took seventh in the 200-meter dash with her time of 27.85. Kotha finished seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.02.

Clare Staudenmeier earned a sixth-place medal in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, five inches. she finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 31 feet, 10 and 1/2 inches.
