Hill School wrestling opens up with a win over Westtown

Hill School 48, Westtown 36 >> Will Ware pinned Alec Butler-Roberts in the heavyweight division to close out the Blues’ match and seal a season-opening non-conference win over Westtown on Thursday evening.

The Hill benefitted from four pins, including slaps from Mike Stevens (120), David Tesfaye (132), Kyle Gorant (145) and Ware. The Blues jumped out to an 18-0 lead before Westtown came storming back, courtesy of a pair of forfeits to bookend Max Starr’s pin at 160.

The Blues also claimed four wins off forfeits.
