Records: Haverford is 6-4 overall, 5-3 in Central League. North Penn is 10-0 overall, 6-0 in the Suburban One League Continental Conference.
Last Week: Haverford lost to Springfield-Delco 24-17 last Friday. North Penn defeated Abington 45-7 last Friday.
Last Meeting: The school last meet all the way in 1922 when North Penn was just Lansdale High. Lansdale won 36-0.
Last Postseason: Haverford fell to Perkiomen Valley in the District 1-AAAA first round 35-28 last year. North Penn lost to Upper Dublin in last season’s District 1-AAAA final 46-21.
Players to Watch: Haverford receiver Jordan Mosley has 45 catches for 821 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2016. NP’s Jake Hubler caught six passes for 205 yards and 2 TDs against Abington. He has 30 receptions for 700 yards and 5 TDs on the season.
Prediction: North Penn 34, Haverford 14.

(15) Pennridge at (2) Neshaminy
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Harry E. Franks Stadium, Neshaminy High School.

Records: Pennridge is 5-5 overall, 3-3 in SOL Continental. Neshaminy is 10-0 overall, 6-0 in SOL National.
Last Week: Pennridge was shut out by Central Bucks East 35-0 last Saturday. Neshaminy blanked Pennsbury 35-0 last Friday.
Last Meeting: Pennridge led 24-17 with 4:47 left in the fourth quarter of their Week 2 matchup this season, but Neshaminy scored two late touchdowns — the second a Will Dogba 1-yard run with 1:14 remaining — to claim a 31-24 win at the Rams’ Helman Field.
Last Postseason: Pennridge last made the playoffs in 2014, falling to Quakertown 14-10 in the District 1-AAAA first round. Neshaminy reached last year’s District 1-AAAA semifinals, falling to North Penn 28-7.
Players to Watch: Pennridge quarterback Jagger Hartshorn leads the Rams in rushing (1,040 yards, 14 TDs) and has also throw for 837 yards and seven scores. Neshaminy QB Mason Jones has thrown for 2170 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Prediction: Neshaminy 28, Pennridge 17.

(14) Penn Wood at (3) Perkiomen Valley
Time/Place: 7 p.m., Friday, Perkiomen Valley High School.
Records: Penn Wood is 7-3 overall, 3-2 in Del Val League. Perkiomen Valley is 10-0 overall, 5-0 in PAC Liberty Division.
Last Week: Penn Wood lost to Interboro 42-24 last Friday. Perkiomen Valley beat Pottsgrove 28-14 in the PAC championship game last Friday.
Last Postseason: Perk Valley fell to Pennsbury 41-28 in last year’s District 1-AAAA quarterfinals. Penn Wood’s last playoff appearance came in 2010 when the Patriots fell to North Penn 20-6 in the 4A first round.
Players to Watch: Penn Wood’s Answered Gleplay has run for 1,032 yards and 11 TDs. PV’s high-powered offense is led by quarterback Stephen Sturm, who has throw for 2,630 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Prediction: Perk Valley 41, Penn Wood 14.

(12) Plymouth Whitemarsh at (5) Ridley
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Phil Marion Field, Ridley High School.
Records: Plymouth Whitemarsh is 8-2 overall, 6-1 in SOL American. Ridley is 9-1 overall, 8-1 in Central League.
Last Week: Plymouth Whitemarsh’s eight-game win streak was snapped last Friday as it fell to Quakertown 26-17 to be SOL American co-champs with Upper Dublin. Ridley beating Upper Darby 38-8 to split the Central League title with Springfield-Delco and Marple Newtown.
Last Meeting: PW’s and Ridley last matchup also came in the district first round as the Raiders edged the Colonials 36-29 in overtime in the 2006 4A Round of 16.
Last Postseason: PW gave top-seed Downingtown East a tough game in their 2016 District 1-AAAA first round game, but East came away with a 35-18 win. Ridley last district appearance was 2012, the Raiders falling to Spring-Ford 28-26 in the 4A quarterfinals.
Players to Watch: Vince Martina has been PW’s top receiving threat, catching 26 passes for 469 yards and five touchdowns in 2016. Brock Anderson paces Ridley on the ground with 667 yards and 4 TDs on 88 carries.
Prediction: Ridley 26, PW 17.

(11) Souderton at (6) Downingtown East
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Kottmeyer Stadium, Downingtown West High School.

Records: Souderton is 6-4 overall, 2-4 in SOL Continental. Downingtown East is 8-2 overall, 5-1 Ches-Mont National Division.
Last Week: Souderton defeated Central Bucks West 33-15 last Friday. Downingtown East beat Downingtown West 42-20 last Friday for its third straight win.
Last Meeting: East visited Souderton in Week 2 of the 2009 season and claimed a 29-7 victory.
Last Postseason: Souderton is back in the playoffs for the first time since 2010 when Big Red fell to Council Rock South 24-17 in the District 1-AAAA first round. Downingtown East lost to North Penn 27-14 in last season’s district 4A quarters.
Players to Watch: Koby Khan headlines Souderton’s Wing-T attack, the senior amassing 1,411 and 16 touchdowns this season. East’s Dan Liaudaitis ran for 205 and three touchdowns in the Cougars’ win over Downingtown West while Jeremy Jennings added 140 yards and two TDs.
Prediction: Downingtown East 31, Souderton 21.

(9) Central Bucks East at (8) Spring-Ford
Time Place: 7 p.m., Friday, Coach McNelly Stadium, Spring-Ford High School.
Records: Central Bucks East is 8-2 overall, 4-2 in SOL Continental Conference. Spring-Ford is 8-2 overall, 4-2 in PAC Liberty Division.
Last Week: Central Bucks East blanked Pennridge 35-0 last Saturday. Spring-Ford rolled past Upper Perkiomen 56-7 last Saturday.
Last Postseason: Both teams lost in last season’s District 1-AAAA first round — CB East was edged by Quakertown 7-6 while Spring-Ford fell to Neshaminy 31-16.
Players to Watch: Wes Verbit is CB East’s playmaker in the passing game, catches 45 balls for 854 yards and 11 touchdowns. Spring-Ford QB TJ Pergine has thrown for 1,905 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Prediction: Spring-Ford 20, CB East 19.

District 1-5A First Round
(13) Strath Haven at (4) Upper Dublin
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Cardinal Stadium, Upper Dublin High School.

Records: Strath Haven is 4-6 overall, 4-5 in Central League. Upper Dublin is 8-1 overall, 6-1 in SOL American Conference.
Last Week: Upper Dublin earned a share of the SOL American title with a 41-21 win over Upper Moreland last Friday. Strath Haven lost to Marple Newtown 33-14 last Friday.
Last Postseason: Strath Haven is back in districts for the first time since 2012 when it lost to Pottsgrove 32-13 in the District 1-AAA quarters. Upper Dublin reached last season’s PIAA AAAA semifinals where it fell to Parkland 30-14.
Players to Watch: Strath Haven’s Zach Newlon has collected 669 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground this season. Upper Dublin quarterback Justin Horn has thrown for 1,045 yards and 13 TDs and leads the Cardinals with 480 yards and 8 TDs rushing.
Prediction: Upper Dublin 34, Strath Haven 16.

District 1-4A Semifinals
(4) Pope John Paul II at (1) Interboro
Time/Place: 7 p.m., Friday, Interboro High School.
Records: Pope John Paul II is 4-6 overall, 3-2 in PAC Freedom Division. Interboro is 9-1 overall, 5-1 in Del Val League.
Last Week: Pope John Paul II lost to Methacton 31-26 last Saturday. Interboro beat Penn Wood 42-24 last Friday to clinch the Bucs’ fist Del Val title since 2009.
Last Postseason: PJP II’s last made the playoffs in 2011, the Golden Panthers falling to Pottsgrove 44-19 in the District 1-AAA quarters. Interboro lost to Great Valley in last season’s 3A quarters 17-8.
Players to Watch: Pope John Paul II quarterback Matt DeLaurentis has thrown for 1,871 yards and 18 touchdowns. Interboro’s Chris Thomas is averaging 6.4 yards per carry and has compiled 1,341 and 23 TDs on the ground in 2016.
Prediction: Interboro 26, Pope John Paul II 17.

PCL 6A Semifinals
(3) Father Judge at (2) La Salle
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

Records: Father Judge is 5-5 overall, 3-3 in Philadelphia Catholic League Red Division. La Salle is 5-4 overall, 4-2 in PCL Red.
Last Week: Father Judge beat Roman Catholic 28-23 last Friday. La Salle lost to Archbishop Wood 31-8 last Saturday.
Last Meeting: La Salle’s Troy Holland had 13 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns as the Explorers beat Judge 35-7 in Week 6 this season.
Last Postseason: Judge lost to La Salle in the 2015 PCL Class AAAA semifinals 27-6. La Salle advanced to the PIAA 4A quarter before falling to Parkland in overtime 16-13.
Players to Watch: La Salle’s Syaire Madden has 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns on 190 carries. Judge’s Rob King a dual-threat quarterback — he has thrown for 1,550 yards and 19 TDs while rushing for 449 yards.
Prediction: La Salle 35, Father Judge 14.

Non-Playoff Games
Northampton at Upper Merion
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Upper Merion High School.
Records: Northampton is 0-10 overall, 0-8 in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference South Division. Upper Merion is 3-7 overall, 2-3 in PAC Freedom Division.
Last Week: Northampton fell to Whitehall 52-12 last Friday. Upper Merion was edged by Owen J. Roberts 14-12 last Friday.
Players to Watch: Northampton quarterback Colin Schucker ran for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Whitehall. Zach DeSanto ran for 77 yards to lead Upper Merion against Owen J. Roberts and is second on the team with 363 yards rushing in 2016.
Prediction: Upper Merion 21, Northampton 7.

Upper Darby at Methacton
Time/Place: 7 p.m. Friday, Methacton High School.
Records: Upper Darby is 4-6 overall, 4-4 in Central League. Methacton is 3-7 overall, 2-3 in PAC Liberty Division.
Last Week: Upper Darby lost to Ridley 38-8 last Friday. Methacton won for the third time in the past four weeks topping Pope John Paul II 31-26 last Saturday.
Players to Watch: Upper Darby’s Jalen Camille had caught 23 passes for 420 yards and four touchdowns. John Keenan leads Methacton in receiving with 414 yards and 3 TDs on 30 catches.
Prediction: Upper Dublin 19, Methacton 14.

Haverford School at Germantown Academy
Time/Place: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Carey Stadium, Germantown Academy.
Records: Haverford School is 6-2, 2-1 in Inter-Ac League. Germantown Academy is 6-2 overall, 2-1 in Inter-Ac.
Last Week: Haverford School defeated SCH Academy 57-23 last Saturday. Germantown Academy lost for the first time in league play last Saturday, falling to Malvern Prep 45-15.
Players to Watch: Mike Reilly is GA’s leading receiver, having hauled in 23 passes for 481 yards and five TDs. Haverford School quarterback Tommy Toal has thrown for 1,434 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Prediction: Haverford School 30, Germantown Academy 17.
