Gardler and Lynch named Catholic League doubles MVPs

Cardinal O’Hara dominated the Catholic League all season, so it should come as no surprise that the Lions did the same when it came time to pick the all-league team.

Mackenzie Gardler and Caroline Lynch were named the most valuable players in doubles, and singles players Anna Marie and Cara Degnan, and the doubles team of Erin Hutchinson and Jessica Dougherty also earned first-team All-Catholic honors. Nina Ji earned second-team honors in singles, as did Sarah Grosso of Archbishop Carroll.

Xhovanna Kona of John W. Hallahan was named singles MVP by the league’s coaches.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 4, Notre Dame 3 >> Nina Stravopolous and Sam Macrides, Cara Hardy and Neha Muhkheijee and Alexa D’Ambrosia and Grace Hennigan swept the final three doubles matches to lift the Churchwomen over the Irish.
McKenna Bramlage and Caroline Mackay took first and second doubles in straight sets, respectively, for the Irish.
