Methacton shuts out Perk Valley; Upper Perk does same to Pottstown

Methacton 2, Perkiomen Valley 0 >> Olivia Hoover did all the Warriors’ scoring in their PAC shutout of the Vikings.

Emily Mycek and Julia Dickinson had the assists on Hoover’s goals, one coming in each half. Addie Frey posted the clean sheet with two saves while PV’s Miranda Wesley had six stops in goal.

Upper Perkiomen 9, Pottstown 0 >> The two-goal showings of Michaela Swenk, Abriana Gatto and AiYi Young fueled the Indians Thursday in their romp over the Trojans.

Liz Fox (three assists), Hope Flack (one assist) and Morgan Chowns rounded out the UP scoring. Swenk, Gatto and Gabby Martin were also credited with assists.

The win completed a 10-0 sweep by the Indians through the PAC’s Frontier Division. UP (12-1 overall) carries the Frontier top seed into the league’s upcoming Final Four playoffs.

Boyertown 8, Norristown 0 >> Tiff Diachynsky had a hand in five of the Bears’ goals during a PAC Liberty Division win over the Eagles.

Diachynsky netted a hat trick and added a pair of assists as Boyertown jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the half. Sydney Fox and Ashley Dierolf each registered a goal and an assist while Hannah Wentzel and Lindsay Flack each scored once. Kaitlyn Berger made two saves in the cage to preserve the shutout.

Pope John Paul II 10, Pottsgrove 3 >> Jackie Lerro scored four times and added three assists as the Golden Panthers blew past the Falcons in PAC Frontier Division play.

Behind Lerro, Madisan Green netted a hat trick while Gabby Simms had a goal and an assist. Katie McGuigan posted eight saves while Kendra Sykes and Isabel Ameer each scored once. For Pottsgrove, Hunter Dyer, Bailey Murphy and Victoria LaPrince each registered a goal.

Phoenixville 2, Upper Merion 0 >> Katie Baker and Ameerah Green scored goals to key the Phantoms’ victory over the Vikings in PAC play.
