OJR, Methacton do little to settle No. 2 spot in Liberty Division, tie 2-2

Methacton 2, Owen J. Roberts 2 >> A back-and-forth contest saw a pivotal Liberty Division clash end in a tie.

Methacton took an early 1-0 lead off a goal from Addy Borkowski with 20 minutes remaining in the half before OJR’s Bridget Guinan, off an assst from Jenna Kirby, tied the score at one with four minutes left in the first.

OJR took a 2-1 lead off a score from Leanna Faust (Sarah Garritano assist) before Methacton tied the score with nine minutes remaining courtesy of an Emily Owens goal.

OJR and Methacton are now both 6-2-1 in PAC divisional play with OJR holding the head-to-head tiebreaker (defeated Methacton 1-0 Sept. 14). OJR hosts Spring-Ford Thursday night at 7 p.m. and will advance to the Final Four with a win or Methacton loss or tie. Methacton hosts Perkiomen Valley Thursday at 3:45 p.m.

Boyertown 3, Pope John Paul II 1 >> Ashley Dierolf scored once and added an assist during the Bears’ PAC cross-divisional win over the Golden Panthers.

Lindsay Flack and Hannah Wentzel rounded out the scorers with a goal each while Sydney Fox and Maddy Siejk both posted an assist. Hailey Levengood had three saves in the cage.

Pottstown 2, Upper Merion 0 >> Khaleah Jeter and Kawanza Hodges each notched a goal in the Trojans’ PAC Frontier Division win over the Vikings.

Pottstown led 1-0 at the half before Hodges’ goal off a feed from Janna Jones.
