DLN-AREA VOLLEYBALL: Wertz, Houseworth guides Downingtown East past Unionville

Downingtown East 3, Unionville 0 >> Lindsey Wertz had five kills on six attempts, and two digs and Jordan Houseworth recorded eight kills and four blocks as the Cougars (7-2, 12-2) posted a 25-25, 25-19, 26-24 Ches-Mont win.  Mary Williams notched 38 assists and 10 digs, Jasmine Ferrance had 12 kills and 12 digs and Shannon Frank chipped in nine kills and 14 digs.

Great Valley 3, West Chester East 1 >> The Patriots (7-3, 9-3) swept the Ches-Mont victory, 25-12, 25-13, 21-25, 25-17. Regan Mack played well defensively, Mackenzie Farrelly was strong offensively, while Haley Murphey and Aimee Christen served well.
For the Vikings, Ali Ward had 14 kills, Taylor Crawford 32 assists and Ava Greim added 11 digs.

Avon Grove 3, Oxford 0 >> Chole Kleespies had 16 kills and 12 digs to help the Red Devils (7-2, 13-2) to the Ches-Mont victory. Ayanna Turner collected five aces and eight digs. Emily McCann added 15 assists.
Logan Wolfe had two kills, three blocks and eight digs for the Hornets. Grace Hennessey had thre blocks and Nikki Jones had eight digs.

West Chester Rustin 3, Coatesville 0 >> Emma Nelson registered eight aces and eight kills and Alessia Mattera had seven kills and seven digs as the Golden Knights (7-3, 10-4) registered a 25-18, 25-10, 25-19, Ches-Mont victory. Callie McGinnis had 21 assists, Emily Supplee had seven aces and nine digs. Lauren Hayes recorded 10 digs and Amanda Fichter had nine digs.

West Chester Henderson 3, Sun Valley 2 >> The Warriors pulled out a 25-23, 20-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-8 Ches-Mont victory. Allie Deabreu had six aces, 11 kills and 37 assists, Alli Tench added nine kills and 11 digs and Fiona Pyfer had 17 kills.

Bishop Shanahan 3, Downingtown West 0 >> Alexa Marcum had nine kills, six digs and one ace as the Eagles (10-0, 14-0) recorded the 25-16, 25-18, 25-13 Ches-Mont National win. Cara Shultz added six kills, 12 digs and four aces, Renee Shultz had four kills, 13 assists and two aces, Alysa Wright added four kills and three blocks and Ceandra Ashman collected 10 assists and two aces.
Aly Reardon paced the Whippets (7-2) with 12 kills, two aces and seven digs. Gina Schetroma had two aces and 20 digs, Sophie Gelling had three kills and Kenzie Pincura registered three kills and two aces.
