OJR pulls out win in five sets; Upper Merion, Methacton and PJP all sweep

Owen J. Roberts 3, Phoenixville 2 >> Getting off to an early lead against the Phantoms, the Wildcats found themselves extended to a fifth set before being able to come away with the PAC win. Roberts took the first two sets (25-15, 25-23), then evened by Phoenixville two sets later (25-23, 25-21) before taking the clincher, 16-14.

Key players for the ‘Cats were Michelle Frank (six aces, eight kills, 10 digs), Kelsey Brobst (five aces, one kill, nine digs), Catherine Cervi (nine kills, seven blocks) and Mikayla Johnson (seven kills, one block). Phoenixville’s game leaders were Tessa Lochetto (46 digs), Romina Broglia (nine kills, 26 digs) and Kayla Grammerstorf (seven kills, eight blocks).

Upper Merion 3, Perkiomen Valley 0 >> Upper Merion swept its PAC match with the Vikings by set scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-22.

Helena Clauhs had eight kills to lead PV.

Spring-Ford 3, Methacton 0 >> The Rams swept their “Dig Pink Night” PAC match with the Warriors by set scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 26-24.

Statistical stars for Spring-Ford were Paige DeAlba (seven kills, 15 assists), Allison Angelucci (five kills) and Olivia Olsen (10 kills, 2 blocks).

Pope John Paul II 3, Norristown 0 >> The Golden Panthers swept their PAC match with the Eagles by set scores of 25-9, 25-6 and 25-10.

PJP’s statistical stars were Alana Pergine (11 kills, 12 service points, five aces), Mary Kate Mooney (six kills), Mikaela Monroe (five kills), Maggie Bevenour (11 digs) and Dana Shaffer (27 assists, 11 service points, four aces).
