Mallik Twyman cracked the 300-yard rushing plateau Friday night to lead The Haverford School to a 49-12 victory at John Carroll (Md.).
Twyman gained 301 yards on 30 carries with three touchdowns. According to Daily Times records, Twyman’s yardage output ranks second in program history. Paul McKinney amassed 316 yards against Chestnut Hill Academy in 2000.
Twyman powered a rushing attack that amassed 389 yards on 46 carries. Quarterback Tommy Toal added 33 yards and two scores, while Nate Whitaker and Logan Keller each added a scoring run.
Toal completed 17 of 31 pass attempts for 185 yards. Connor Mosebrook had a game-high four receptions.
The Fords finished with 574 total yards of offense.
The victory lifts the Fords to 4-1 in nonleague competition. They’ll begin their quest for a fourth straight Inter-Ac League title Oct. 14 at Penn Charter.
