Reporter-Area Girls Volleyball Roundup: Yankanich helps Hatboro-Horsham sweeps Cheltenham

Katerina Yankanich had 15 kills, eight aces, seven digs a block and an assist to help lead Hatboro-Horsham to a 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-20) Suburban One League Continental Conference win over Cheltenham Wednesday.

Hatters libero Allison Laucella had 15 digs, five assists and a kill with Rache Dittus handing out 19 assists.

Souderton 3, Quakertown 0 >> Lauren Hamilton finished with 16 assists and eight digs as Souderton earned a SOL Continental win Wednesday by beating Quakertown in three sets – 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Talia Wilson collected eight digs and four aces while Haley Novak added seven digs and five aces for the Indians (8-4, 7-4 conference).

Plymouth Whitemarsh 3, Abington 0 >> PW picked up a 25-18, 25-14, 25-19 SOL Continental win behind Emilee Waltz’s 14 kills, 15 digs and four aces and Lily Acquaviva’s 12 kills, 11 digs and two aces.

Kaley Ehnow and Hannah Dalton both had six kills for Abington.

CB West 3, William Tennent 0 >> Katie Hudson had 12 kills, 11 digs and block as Central Bucks West took a close third set to sweep William Tennent 25-16, 25-9, 27-25 for an SOL National win.

The Bucks’ Kayla King dished out 26 assists to go with 13 digs and two aces while Mackenzie Brooks chipping in eight kills, nine digs, four aces and a pair of assists.

Germantown Academy 3, Lawrenceville School 1 >> Emma Rapp had six kills, three aces and three blocks – the second block the 100th for her career- as GA earn a 25-13, 25-16, 22-25, 25-23 non-league win.

Alison Weber collected 11 kills, three digs and an ace for the Patriots while Jenna Schumann had 10 kills, seven digs and an ace.
