Nihill, Gallen get O’Hara going against Shanahan

Playing at night did not bother the Cardinal O’Hara field hockey team. Neither did being on the road.
Makayla Gallen and Hannah Nihill led the way, as usual, as the visiting Lions rolled to a 6-0 victory over Bishop Shanahan Monday night.
Gallen had two goals and one assist, while Nihill had her eighth multi-goal game with two scores to help the Lions (8-0, 6-0) remain undefeated headed into Wednesday night’s showdown with Catholic League rival Bonner & Prendergast.
In other nonleague action:
Sacred Heart 7, Bristol 0 >> Catie Gordon and Elizabeth Davis scored two goals each and Emily Franz added two assists for the Lions (2-5).
Conestoga 2, Downingtown West 1 >> A goal by Meredith Ross in overtime kept the Pioneers (9-0, 5-0) undefeated.
Rustin 7, Upper Darby 0 >> Skylar Demis scored two goals to lead Rustin.
