O’Brien’s hat trick paces Episcopal Academy

Molly O’Brien posted a hat trick in the first half and led Episcopal Academy to a 4-1 victory over The Hill School in a nonleague match.

Lauren Cunningham added a goal and an assist while Izzy Rohr had two assists for EA, which outshot the Rams 11-5. Hannah Moriarty had two saves and surrendered the only goal of the game at the 18:26 mark for the Churchwomen, who scored four unanswered goals after that.

In other nonleague action:

Springfield 3, Bonner & Prendergast 0 >> Freshmen Aiden Gallagher had two goals and Erin Gormley had one of her own for the Cougars, who have now won five games in a row. Kerry McCann assisted on Gallagher’s goal and Alyssa Long had the helper on Gormley’s score. Molly Ryan (4) and Shannon Cutcliffe (2) combined for six saves for Springfield (7-4) while Erin Cardy had 12 saves for the Pandas.

Ridley 1, Delco Christian 1 >> Sarah Hurley scored for Ridley then Delco Christian’s Alex Thompson put one in the back of the net only a minute later. Ronnie Marie Falasco made six saves for the Knights (3-6-1) and Sydney Zimmerman tallied three for Ridley.
