Nihill’s four-star day helps O’Hara roll

Hannah Nihill had her eighth straight multi-goal game to help Cardinal O’Hara remain undefeated with a 6-0 romp over Council Rock North. Nihill scored four goals for the second time this season. Makayla Galllen pitched in with one goal and two assists, while the defense turned in another strong effort in front of goalie Patty Ahearn (seven saves).

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 8, Penn Charter 2 >> Eight players scored for the Churchwomen. Corinne Zanolli led the way with one goal and one assist. Olivia Turner, Molly Giles, Katie Crager, Lexi Fischer, Gianna Paantaleo, Jane Morely and Katie Foster also scored for EA.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 8, W.C. East 2 >> Quinn Maguire had a productive day with four goals and two assists. Mary Kate Neff added one goal and two assists.

Merion Mercy 4, Strath Haven 0 >> Jamie Natale scored three times for the host Golden Bears. Kay Walker and Gillian Gunn combined to make 18 saves in goal for the Panthers (6-5).

Oxford 11, Interboro 1 >> The Hornets broke the game open with eight goals in the second half. Molly Dowling scored for Interboro with an assist from Mosloskie. Goalie Moriah Marr made 10 saves for the Bucs.
