Mercury-Area Girls Soccer Roundup: Willis nets twice in OJR win over Pottsgrove

Owen J. Roberts 3, Pottsgrove 0 >> The Wildcats scored all three of their goals during the second half to take a PAC victory against the Falcons.

Mahogany Willis scored twice within a span of 3:28 with Julia Dalton scoring the third to clinch it. Erin Carroll made 15 saves in goal for Pottsgrove.

Boyertown 5, Upper Perkiomen 1 >> The Bears broke out early in the second half with four goals in an eight-minute span as Lauren Haley completed her hat trick in a PAC crossover win.

Beyond Haley’s three scores, Corinne Renninger (one assist) and Grace Conover (two assists) rounded out Boyertown’s scoring. Jessie Fisher scored late in the first half for Upper Perkiomen.

Spring-Ford 7, Pottstown 0 >> The Rams made easy work of the Trojans in a league crossover win.

Lily Nowakowski scored a game-high two goals while Ally O’Connor, Mack Mitchell, Devin Rawley, Shannon Dougherty and Mikaela McGurkin each scored once as the Rams ran out to a 3-0 halftime lead before putting the Trojans away with a four-goal second half.

McGurkin added two assists in the win, with Jillian Quigley, Molly McHarg and Nowakowski each adding one helper.

Alex Hyduke and Carly Lare combined for the shutout while Pottstown’s Emme Wolfel made 19 saves.

Pope John Paul II 8, Norristown 0 >> Colleen Morton finished with two saves in the first half and scored a goal during the second half during the Golden Panthers’ shutout of the Eagles.

Julia Owens scored twice while Kendal Piazza, Monica Rapchinski, Jenny Lynch, Julie McLaughlin and Mary-Kate Shannon each added solo tallies. Anastasia Kormos finished with three-second half saves to preserve the shutout.

Phoenixville 3, Methacton 0 >> Gabrielle Perrotto had a pair of goals, and Julia Brown added a third as the Phantoms blanked the Warriors.

Dakota Graham added an assist for Phoenixville in the win, while Yadira Cruz notched five saves to register the clean sheet.

Perkiomen School 3, Mercy Vocational 0 >> The Panthers used a two-goal push during the second half to put away Mercy Vocational in Tri-County League play.

Lacey Wheeler, Mikayla Matthew and Sasha Vasallo each accounted for a goal while Abbey Glavin finished with eight saves in the shutout.

Germantown Ac. 5, Hill School 2 >> Bri Tyson and Hannah Delahaye did the goal scoring for the Blues in their non-league loss to Germantown Academy.

Addie Paulson had a 10-save day in goal for the Hill.
