McPeak dominates as Bonner & Prendie rolls

Maggie McPeak had a monster match with 24 assists, 10 digs and five aces to lead Bonner & Prendergast past Little Flower, 3-0. The Pandas won by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-15.

Molly Ryan led the attack with 13 kills and had eight digs. Caroline Manfre (seven kills) and Caroline Goggin (22 digs, four aces) also came up big for the Pandas (5-2, 4-1).

Elsewhere in the Catholic League:

Cardinal O’Hara 3, Neumann-Goretti 0 >> Breanna Hickey (six kills, two aces), Kiki Daly (five kills) and Erin Daly (seven kills) led the way as the Lions (6-2) cruised 25-6, 25-11, 25-12.

In the Central League:

Ridley 3, Springfield 0 >> Jackie Kelly collected 12 digs and seven kills for the Raiders in a 25-19, 25-23, 25-15 victory over Springfield. Mel June had 19 digs and five aces. Gina Borcky made five blocks and Jess Tait dished out 12 assists and recorded eight digs.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Downingtown East 3, Sun Valley 0 >> The Cougars won, 25-16, 25-18, 25-17, to hand the Vanguards their second straight loss.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 3, Marple Newtown 0 >> Maddie Donathon (15 digs) and Elise Butler (11 digs, nine kills) powered a solid defensive effort that powered the Irish (6-2) to a 25-22, 25-15, 25-22 victory.

Liz Conca (12 digs, eight kills) and Hannah Roberts (15 assists, eight digs, six kills) showed the way for the Tigers (3-6).

Agnes Irwin 3, Radnor 2 >> Erica DiCarlo filled in at setter and delivered 13 assists, seven digs and three aces, but it wasn’t enough as the Owls won, 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-9. Carleight Goldsten led Radnor with 15 kills, seven assists, six digs, three aces and two blocks.
