Crowley, Ridley field hockey get back on winning track

Hanna Crowley’s goal, off an assist from Emily Johnston, was the difference as the Ridley field hockey team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 Central League triumph over Garnet Valley Thursday.

Crowley put home Johnston’s pass with 4:30 left to give the Raiders a 4-2 lead. It was Johnston’s third assist of the game. She also scored one goal.

Kasey Burke tallied twice for the Jaguars.

In other Central League action:

Conestoga 7, Strath Haven 1 >> Charlotte de Vries, Meredith Ross and Grace McEvoy tallied two goals each for the Pioneers.

Haverford 2, Penncrest 1 >> Sophomores Carly Gannon and Kelsy Knapp scored in the second half to pace the Fords.

In the Del Val League:

Interboro 5, Academy Park 1 >> Ro Murphy powered the Bucs with three goals and one assist. Molly Dowling chipped in with two goals.

Riley Street scored for AP.

In nonleague action:

Bonner & Prendergast 7, Sacred Heart 2 >> Molly McNulty recorded a hat trick and Riley Dolan had one goal and three assists for the Pandas. Bella Chan and Anna Perizian scored for the Lions.
