Mercury-Area Girls Tennis Roundup: Liberty teams sweep Frontier foes

Methacton 7, Pottsgrove 0 >> The Warriors swept their matches with the Falcons in straight sets to come away with the PAC victory.

Methacton’s singles players Dina Nouaime, Tina Prince and Sydnie Markowitz all won by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Pottsgrove’s best individual showing came at second doubles, where Alyssa Wehr and Makenzie Murphy won the only two games by the Falcons lineup.

Spring-Ford 7, Upper Perkiomen 0 >> The Rams flexed their muscle in the singles bracket, dropping just one game while sweeping past the Indians in PAC action.

Tori Alexander and Kathryn Alvarez led the way for Spring-Ford with their 6-0, 6-0 wins at first and second singles, respectively. UP’s best showing came at first doubles, where Emily Moll and Cassidy Wright won three games.

Perkiomen Valley 7, Upper Merion 0 >> Allison Newman had the best individual showing for the Vikings as they swept newcomer Upper Merion in their PAC match.

Newman went 6-0, 6-0 at second singles to lead PV.

Owen J. Roberts 7, Phoenixville 0 >> A strong showing in the singles bracket keyed the Wilcats’ PAC victory over the Phantoms.

Elaina Lee’s 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles led the way for OJR. Phoenixviile’s best individual showing came at third doubles, where Amanda Monachelli and Susan Duncan extended their match to three sets.

Kutztown 6, Daniel Boone 1 >> Rachael Bicer accounted for the Blazers’ scoring in their Berks Conference outing with the Cougars.

Bicer scored a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kutztown’s Emma Kyle at second singles
