Azor’s three-set win shows way for Academy Park

Rajah Azor needed a tiebreak to get past Ixchelle Ortiz in the first set at third singles, but then the Academy Park player took the second set at love to lead AP to a 5-0 win over Penn Wood Thursday.
The second doubles tandem of Selina Keita and Rasheeda Ope also had an eventful 6-4, 7-5 win for AP (4-4, 4-0 Del Val).
Also in the Del Val League:
Chichester 5, Chester 0 >> Desiree Naugle, Sarah Blonarowycz and Gongbah Massaquoi won in straight sets as the Eagles roared to victory.
In the TCISL:
Barrack Hebrew 5, Woodlynde School 0 >> Jordan Meltzer and Talia Schley lost the first set of their first doubles match but rebounded to claim a thriller, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5, for the Cougars.
In nonleague action:
Notre Dame 7, Cardinal O’Hara 0 >> McKenna Bramlage, Caroline McKay and Natalie Hughes all posted straight-sets singles wins as the Irish (4-0) cruised.
