Upper Perkiomen field hockey routs PJP 7-0, stays unbeaten in PAC play

Upper Perkiomen 7, Pope John Paul II 0 >> Abrianna Gatto scored a hat trick as the Tribe continued its strong start to the 2016 campaign.

Hope Flack, Liz Fox, Kaylie Siwy (assist) and Kourtne Buck each chipped in a goal while Michaela Swenk and Kathryn Lehman each had an assist. Liz Pierson finished with three saves in net.

Upper Merion 4, Pottstown 0 >> Rella Staley scored two goals and registered an assist to lead the Vikings to a victory over Pottstown.

Rosalee Banks and Alyssa Adinolfi each had one goal in the win.

Owen J. Roberts 1, Methacton 0 >> Leanna Faust scored the decider at 15:30 during the second half to lift the Wildcats past the Warriors in PAC play.

Faust’s score came off a feed from Sarah Garritano as OJR was outshot 11-6. Cassie Micklesavage and Darby Stuart combined for nine saves for the shutout. Addie Frey posted five saves in front of the Methacton goal.

Perkiomen Valley 9, Norristown 0 >> Liz Tarbet, Alysa Dunne, Kelly Battinger and Arianna Martina each scored their first varsity goals in the Vikings PAC rout of the Eagles.

Tarbet, Taylor Hamm and Bryn Marcavage each finished with a pair of goals while assists were credited to Abigail Bergman, Gabby Spurlock, Alina Koniencki, Gabby Martina, Katie Wuerstle and Danielle Hamm. Norristown keeper Basiman Curry made 10 saves.

Hill School 3, Agnes Irwin 2 >> Bree Gorman notched a pair of goals, including the game-winner with under a minute left, and the Blues downed Agnes Irwin for their first win of the season.

Trailing by a pair of goals with just over three minutes to play, Bree Gorman tied it at 2-2 before Gorman nailed the game-winner. Lexi Davidson added an assist during the first half as The Hill racked up 17 shots in the win.
