Reporter-Area Girls Volleyball: Plymouth Whitemarsh tops Souderton in 4

Danielle Rippert collected 15 kills and 20 digs as the Plymouth Whitemarsh rebounded from dropping the opening set to beat visiting Souderton 3-1 (21-25, 25-9, 25-17, 25-10 for a Suburban One League Continental Conference win Wednesday.

Bridget McTamney had 33 assists and two aces while Olivia Carbo added 28 digs and six aces for PW.

Haley Novak had six kills and 12 digs for Souderton while Talia Watson had 16 digs and two aces.

Germantown Academy 3, SCH Academy 0 >> Jenna Schuman collected seven kills, two digs and nine aces as Germantown Academy won its Inter-Ac opener Wednesday.
Alison Weber added seven kills and two digs while Cat Polisano had 22 assists, two kills and three digs for the Patriots.

Merion Mercy 3, Gwynedd Mercy 0 >> Lizzy Ferguson had eight kills and a pair of blocks while Abigail Kress finished with six kills, six blocks and two blocks as Gwynedd Mercy fell in Wednesday’s Catholic Academies match.

Upper Merion 3, Phoenixville 1 >> Emma Andraka had 14 kills and Tori Wright added 11 for Upper Merion, which won by the count of 25-12, 25-8 and 25-9 Tuesday.

Kelly Moore had five aces to go with her 27 assists while Sophie Gammarino served six aces among her 14 service points.

Methacton 3, Owen J. Roberts 0 >> Carli Ginther had six kills and 19 assists, Andrew Castaneda finished with nine kills while Ashley Newman mad nine digs in Methacton’s sweep of Owen J. Roberts Tuesday.

Pope John Paul II 3, Spring-Ford 0 >> Alana Pergine put down 11 kills as Pope John Paul II swept Spring-Ford for a PAC victory Tuesday.
Hayley Wusinich added 14 assists and 11 digs while Alyssa Cianciulli had 14 digs and four aces for the Golden Panthers.
