Carroll beats the clock as Chichester edges Interboro

In a Del Val League rivalry tilt, Megan Carroll had the final say for Chichester.

Carroll’s goal in the final minute of regulation Tuesday gave Chichester a 4-3 girls soccer victory over Interboro.
Carroll and Monigo Karnley did all the scoring for Chichester (1-4), with two goals and an assist each.

Madison Hengey scored twice for Interboro from the penalty spot, and Morgan Reed also scored for the Bucs, who overcame a halftime deficit and looked poised to send the game to extra time before Carroll struck.

In the Central League:

Radnor 2, Ridley 1 >> Maura Holst’s second goal of the game came off a free kick a minute into the second overtime period to see the Raiders to victory.

Ridley goalie Olivia Rosado, who made 11 saves, got a piece of Holst’s shot, but she couldn’t keep it out of the net.
Ridley went ahead early in the second half thanks to Rylie Butler finishing off a feed from Vicky Zielke.

Garnet Valley 1, Haverford 0 >> Kamryn McNeal scored off a corner kick with two minutes left in overtime as the Jags earned a win on a night dedicated to the memory of former player Alicia Babiak.

Alex Zecca earned the assist, and Ashley Bufano pitched a shutout with nine saves for GV (3-2-1, 1-0-1).

Penncrest 2, Springfield 1 >> Kat Mullaney and Kenna Kaut scored off corner kicks as Penncrest (4-0-1, 1-0-1) overcame an early deficit. Miranda Cropper deputized in goal with seven saves.

Olivia Little set up Erin Gormley to give Springfield (2-4, 1-1) the early lead, but they couldn’t hang on despite six Molly Ryan saves.

Strath Haven 5, Marple Newtown 0 >> Maddie Forbes scored twice, Morgan Crain paired a goal with an assist and Liz DeCarlo dished a pair of assists as the Panthers (4-0, 2-0) stayed unbeaten.

Lower Merion 7, Upper Darby 0 >> Lizzie D’Alonzo and Lexie Sutton scored twice each for the Aces, and Upper Darby’s Alyssa Hanrahan made three stops for the Royals.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 2, Merion Mercy 2 >> Christine Stavish and Mandy McGurk scored for the Irish, and Caroline O’Keefe made nine saves, but the Irish (1-0-3) again settled for a draw when Meredith McKenzie equalized late.
