Bonner & Prendie falls despite Dougherty’s big day

Joe Dougherty shot a four-over par 39, but Bonner & Prendergast fell short in a battle of Catholic League frontrunners, dropping a 228-258 decision to St. Joseph’s Prep Wednesday.

Dylan Williams added a 41, and Pat Lord turned in a 42 for Bonner.

Andrew Gallagher was the low man for The Prep, carding a one-under 34 at Philadelphia Country Club. Drew Desjardins was an even-par 35.

Also in the Catholic League:

Archbishop Carroll 239, Little Flower 347 >> James Kelly covered Cobbs Creek Golf Club’s par-35 layout at even par, and Dan DiRita was one shot back as the Patriots (3-5-1, 3-3) cruised.

Dan Crossan also got into the 30s with a 39.

In the Central League:

Haverford 217, Springfield 232 >> Emmett Fox shot a 38 to lead the Fords to a victory in a match from Tuesday. Matt Druce added a 43 for the Fords (9-2-1, 6-1).

Andrew Todaro matched Fox with a 38 at Rolling Green, but the Cougars (6-5, 5-4) couldn’t keep pace.
