Daily Times-area Golf Roundup: Springfield’s Todaro stands out in tri-match

Springfield’s Andrew Todaro stood head and shoulders above the field, shooting a one-over par 37 as the Cougars’ 229 easily bettered Marple Newtown and Upper Darby in Monday’s Central League golf tri-match at White Manor Country Club.
Mike May’s 46 paced Marple Newtown (261) and Connor McCabe carded a 50 for Upper Darby (285).
Elsewhere in the Central League:
Radnor 188, Ridley 258 >> Conor Rinehart’s 36 paced a quintet of Raiders who broke 40 at par 35 Radnor Valley Country Club. Jake Calamaro (37), Michael Sydnes (38), Chris Austen (38) and Daniel Bullock (39) brought their “A” games for Radnor, while a 43 by Tommy Loftus led Ridley.
In a nonleague match:
Haverford School 235, Archbishop Carroll 247 >> In a three-way tie for low round, the Fords’ Zak Summy and the Patriots’ tandem of James Kelly and Harry Lownes carded a two-over-par 37 at Cobbs Creek Golf Club.
