Maddie Skwirut scored twice to key a four-goal first-half explosion, as host Sun Valley captured the Vanguard Invitational girls soccer title Saturday night with a 4-2 triumph over Ridley.
Emily Simpson and Samantha Bowen rounded out the scoring for the Vanguards (3-0), with Elizabeth Morgan and Olivia Lambert each chipping in an assist. Amy Parker and Kyra Green combined for one save in splitting the goalkeeping chores for Sun Valley.
Vicky Vielke and Riley Butler put Ridley on the board with second-half goals.

Springfield 1, Great Valley 0 >> Bridget Whitaker ran down a loose ball in front of the Great Valley net, eluded the Patriots’ goalkeeper and deposited the lone goal of the match with 40 seconds remaining in the second overtime period.
Molly Ryan went the distance in net for the Cougars (2-3), stopping six shots to secure the shutout.
Goalie Lauren Birchler kept Great Valley even until the waning seconds by turning aside a dozen shots.
Strath Haven 2, Rustin 1 >> Lizzie King opened the scoring in the 10th minute and Nicole Raimo netted the eventual game winner in the 33rd, while goalie Carly Perlman recorded six saves to keep the Panthers (3-0) perfect on the season.
Penncrest 2, Avon Grove 1 >> Olivia Mancarella and Corryn Gamber both found the back of the net to help the Lady Lions (3-0-1) hold on for the victory behind goalkeeper Bryn McLaughlin (two saves). Gamber teamed with Gia Martyn to provide a staunch effort at midfield.
Coatesville 7, Chichester 2 >> The Eagles used a trio of goalies in Haley Coale (three saves), Mackenzie Sendek (two) and Zaira Ford (two) but could not slow down the Red Raiders. Megan Carroll and Mongo Karnley each notched a second-half goal for Chichester (0-4-0).
