Last Week: McDevitt lost a close one, 33-29 to Cheltenham. GA ran into a tough Father Judge squad, falling 35-14.
Last Year: The Patriots won a rout, 41-6 over McDevitt.
Players to Watch: Kyle McCloskey offers a strong arm in the Patriot passing attack. McDevitt running back Diavante Lloyd has a nose for the end zone.
Prediction: Germantown Academy 31, Bishop McDevitt 23.

Pennsbury at North Penn
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Crawford Stadium, North Penn.
On Air: The game will be broadcast live on the radio on 1440 AM and live on the internet at wnpv1440.com.

Records: The Falcons are 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League National Conference. North Penn is 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the SOL Continental.
Last Week: The Knights got to 2-0 for the first time since 2009 with a 23-7 win over Downingtown East. Pennsbury was shut out by La Salle, 28-0.
Last Year: The Knights earned a 27-20 victory over the Falcons.
Players to Watch: Quarterback Reece Udinski and wide receiver Justis Henley have been clicking for the Knights, along with Ricky Johns racking up yards out of the backfield. Halfback Nasan Robbins gets the bulk of the carries as part of Pennsbury’s spread offense.
Prediction: North Penn 35, Pennsbury 7.

Pope John Paul II at Chichester
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Chichester.
Records: Chichester is 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Del Val League. Pope John Paul II enters this one 0-2 overall and 0-0 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.
Last Week: Chichester lost 24-12 to Kennett while the Golden Panthers fell 40-25 to Sun Valley.
Players to Watch: With 158 yards and two touchdowns from tailback Dan Cirino, the Golden Panthers came roaring back last week from an early deficit, but their comeback efforts ultimately fell short. Safety Blaine Lewis-Thompson, meanwhile, bolsters the Chichester secondary.
Prediction: Chichester 20, Pope John Paul II 14.

Spring-Ford at Wilson-West Lawn
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Wilson.
Records: The Rams are 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference. Wilson is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.
Last Week: Spring-Ford’s offense was in high gear in a 55-22 win over Chester. Wilson-West Lawn was a 38-7 winner over Governor Mifflin.
Players to Watch: T.J. Pergine completed 11 of 15 passes last week for 156 yards and three touchdowns for balanced Spring-Ford. Senior wide receiver Brian Wright is a playmaker for the Bulldogs.
Prediction: Spring-Ford 28, Wilson 21.

Upper Merion at Sun Valley
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Sun Valley.
Records: Upper Merion is 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference. Sun Valley is 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the Ches-Mont.
Last Week: Upper Merion was a 16-12 winner over MLK while Sun Valley prevailed 40-25 over Pope John Paul II.
Last Year: Upper Merion squeezed past Sun Valley 14-13.
Players to Watch: Gabe Boccella is the trigger man on a high-powered passing attack for the Vanguards. Upper Merion has a tough runner in Tyrese Leach.
Prediction: Sun Valley 23, Upper Merion 13.

Central Bucks West at Quakertown
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Quakertown.

Records: The Bucks are 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League Continental Conference. The Panthers are 0-2 overall and 0-0 in the SOL American.
Last Week: The Bucks stayed unbeaten with a 28-7 win over Council Rock South. Quakertown lost a tough one to rival Souderton Area in the 309 Bowl, 26-20.
Last Year: The Panthers won 28-7 over the Bucks.
Players to Watch: Corey Cepeda helps anchor the defensive line for the Bucks. Quarterback Austin Clarke will try to get the attack going for the Panthers.
Prediction: Central Bucks West 24, Quakertown 10.

Pennridge at Perkiomen Valley
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Perk Valley.
Records: The Rams are 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League Continental Conference. The Vikings are 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.
Last Week: The Rams lost a heartbreaker to rival Neshaminy, 31-24. Perkiomen Valley’s offense stayed in high gear with a 46-24 win over Frankford.
Players to Watch: The Rams have a versatile threat in quarterback Jagger Hartsorn. PV counters with the pass-catch tandem of Stephen Sturm and Justin Jaworski.
Prediction: Pennridge 28, Perkiomen Valley 22.

Souderton at Hatboro-Horsham
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Hatboro-Horsham.

Players to Watch: Quarterback Joey Curotto threw for a score and ran for another last week for Big Red. The Hatters have a breakaway runner in Calvin Broaddus.
Prediction: Souderton 27, Hatboro-Horsham 18.

Pottsville at Wissahickon
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Wissahickon.

Last week: The Trojans dropped a 27-21 decision to Central. Pottsville was a 34-18 winner over Muhlenberg.
Players to Watch: Eric Wapinsky has Kory Kleckner to throw to in the Crimson Tide attack. Darryl Baldwin is coming off a huge rushing performance for Wiss, 203 yards and three scores in the loss to Central.
Prediction: Pottsville 24, Wissahickon 17

La Salle at Malvern Prep
Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Franklin Field, Philadelphia
Records: La Salle is 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Philadelphia Catholic League Red Division. The Friars are 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the InterAC.
Last Week: The Explorers blanked Pennsbury 28-0 while Malvern lost a wild one to St. Augustine, 47-30.
Players to Watch: La Salle’s Syaire Madden is a proven ball carrier for the Explorers. Malvern Prep will try to answer with a strong passing attack directed by quarterback Kevin Doyle.
Prediction: La Salle 20, Malvern Prep 16.

Methacton at Central Bucks East

Time/Place: Saturday, 11 a.m., at CB East.
Records: The Warriors are 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference. The Patriots are 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League Continental Conference.
Last Week: The Warriors fell 48-14 to PAC 10 rival Pottsgrove. East stayed unbeaten with a 24-6 victory over Hatboro-Horsham.
Players to Watch: Quarterback Jason Eckman looks to get the Warrior passing attack untracked this week. The Matt Szczypiorski-to-Wes Verbit connection has been a good one for the Pats.
Prediction: CB East 34, Methacton 14.

Lansdale Catholic at Archbishop Ryan
Time/Place: Saturday, 10 a.m., at Bensalem.

Records: The Crusaders are 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the Philadelphia Catholic League Blue Division. Ryan is 2-0 overall and 0-0 in the PCL Red Division.
Last Week: The Crusaders had a tough opener, losing 35-14 to Penn Charter. Ryan is coming off a 33-12 win over Bonner-Prendergast.
Players to Watch: Ryan McNeil- racked up 259 yards rushing last week for Ryan. Quarterback Michael Basilii is a mobile thrower for the Crusaders.
Prediction: Ryan 28, LC 20.

Plymouth Whitemarsh at Norristown
Time/Place: Saturday, 4 p.m., at Norristown.

Records: The Colonials are 1-1 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League American Conference. The Eagles are 0-2 overall and 0-0 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.
Last Week: PW won a 7-0 battle with Abington while Norristown was shut out by Interboro, 35-0.
Last Year: The Colonials were 20-16 winners over the Eagles.
Players to Watch: Quarterback Steve DePaul looks to help the Eagles rally back from last week’s shutout. On PW’s side, Joe Stoberl is a poised senior QB.
Prediction: Plymouth-Whitemarsh 28, Norristown 9.
