Mercury Area Girls Soccer Roundup: Late goal in 72nd minute lifts PJP in close PAC matchup

Pope John Paul II 1, Phoenixville 0 >> Carson Tracy scored the deciding goal in the 72nd minute to lift the Golden Panthers in a close PAC contest.

Tracy’s goal came on a feed from Kayla Meszaros. Colleen Morton made six saves for the shutout. Hannah Sands finished with eight saves for Phoenixville.

Upper Perkiomen 2, Upper Merion 0 >> It took the Tribe nearly 70 minutes to finally get something across against the Vikings’ stingy defense.

Jessie Fisher scored in the 69th minute off a feed from Mackenzie Gebhardt to break open the scoreless affair. Three minutes later, Fisher returned the favor to Gebhardt as the pair sealed it. Hannah Landis made three saves in the shutout while Brianna Regan finished with nine for UM.

Spring-Ford 3, Methacton 0 >> Devin Rawley, Elle Kershner and Gabby Kane each scored as the Rams blanked the Warriors in league play.

Juliana Alessandroni registered an assist while Amanda Byrd and Alex Hyduke combined for two saves.

 

Boyertown 4, Perkiomen Valley 1 >> Lauren Haley netted a hat trick to lead the Bears in their PAC victory over the Vikings.
Corrinne Renninger completed Boyertown’s scoring. PV got its goal from Sydney Marasco.
