DLN-area Cross Country Wrap: Downingtown West, Coatesville split dual meet

Downingtown West took nine of the first 10 places as the Cougars defeated Coatesville, 19-44, in the Ches-Mont League National dual meet Wednesday.

Shaun Bullock was the top finisher for the Whippets (1-0) in 17:38. Tyler Rollins was third (18:19), Joseph Chamoun was fourth and Payton Sewall was fifth.

Colin Mihalak was the top finisher for the Red Raiders in 18:18.

Molly Jacobs (20:18) finished first overall for the Red Devils (0-1).

Coatesville 18, Downingtown West 45 >> The Red Raiders placed eight runners in the top 10 in the Ches-Mont National victory. Brooke Hutton was first overall in 20:12 and Samantha Miller was second in 21:07.

Emma Planck was the top runner for the Whippets, placing third in 21:47.
