Hamill powers Radnor past Ridley

Kristin Hamill paced three Radnor players in double figures in Monday night’s 54-47 Central League win over Ridley.

Hamill posted 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Raiders (8-6, 6-2),who held a 22-9 advantage after the first quarter.

Allison Lanzone tallied 13 points and five assists, while Nicole Massimino contributed 12 points and four steals for Radnor, which survived a shaky performance from the free-throw line (16-of-33).

It was Radnor’s fifth game in seven days.

Izzy Hamlin had 17 points and Mel Malseed and Dana D’Ambrosio both scored 10 for the Green Raiders.

In nonleague games:

Springfield 52, Pottsgrove 44 >> Freshman Belle Mastropietro poured in 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cougars (8-3).

Jordan D’Ambrosio heated up after halftime as the freshman Cougar scored all of her 13 points in the final two stanzas.  Maggie O’Connell added nine points, 10 rebounds and four steals.

Christian Academy 65, Calvary Christian 42 >> Lindsay Haseltine scored 12 of her game-high 19 points in the second quarter for the Crusaders (11-3). Danay Cooks-Green added 15 points, nine steals and seven rebounds while Grace Gormley chipped in 13 points, seven steals and seven boards.

Interboro 43, Avon Grove 34 >> Gina McNamee made four free throws in the fourth quarter to help seal the win for the Bucs (5-7). McNamee led all scorers with 14 points, while teammate Lexi Tansey came off the bench to score nine points.
