Hamill, Lanzone power Radnor

 

Kristin Hamill exploded for 23 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to help Radnor snap a two-game losing streak with a 53-42 Central League win over Harriton Tuesday.

Allison Lanzone tossed in 13 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders (2-2, 2-1), who scored at least 12 points in every quarter. Nicole Massimino notched seven points, six rebounds and five assists.

In other Central League action:

Penncrest 45, Strath Haven 40 >> Grace Harding was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line on the way to a team-high 14 points for the Lions (4-1, 2-1). Megan Arndt tossed in 13 points and Katherine Russo netted all six of her points in the fourth quarter.

Katie Fisher carried the Panthers in defeat with a game-high 24 points.

Haverford 61, Upper Darby 26 >> Ashley Murphy was on fire from long distance. She hit seven 3-pointers and led the Fords (3-2, 2-1) with 23 points. Mollie Reynolds added nine points, five assists and five rebounds.

Upper Darby’s Taylor McElaney had eight points in the loss.

Springfield 38, Marple Newtown 22 >> Jordan D’Ambrosio pumped in 11 points for the Cougars and Halle Robinson finished with a game-high 12 points for the Tigers (1-5, 0-3).

Garnet Valley 59, Lower Merion 27 >> Maddie Ireland powered the unbeaten Jaguars (4-0, 3-0) with 19 points and four steals, while freshman Brianne Borcky checked in with nine points, five steals and five boards.

 

Conestoga 52, Ridley 33 >> The Green Raiders (3-2, 2-1) had a difficult time containing Conestoga’s Ellie Mack, who poured in a game-high 23 points. Dana D’Ambrosio scored 11 in the loss.

In the Catholic League:

Cardinal O’Hara 63, Little Flower 17 >> Mary Sheehan (12 points), Emily Helms (eight) and Lauren Leicht (eight) led the Lions to a rout.

Archbishop Carroll 67, Conwell-Egan 14 >> Wynter Bess guided the Patriots to an easy win by scoring 12 points. Lexi Kucia added 10.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Notre Dame 55, Agnes Irwin 23 >> Caitlyn Clark had a strong all-around game with 12 points and five assists for the Irish (3-1, 1-0). Alex Kane netted 12.

Germantown Academy 44, Episcopal Academy 25 >> Elodie Furey registered seven points and eight rebounds as the Churchwomen (3-1, 0-1) suffered their first defeat of 2015.

In the Bicentennial League:

Delco Christian 56, Calvary Christian 22 >> Shirley Piotrowski was force on defense with six blocks to go with her 10 points. Siani McNeill recorded 15 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three steals for the Knights (3-2, 1-2).

 In nonleague action:

Sacred Heart 47, Chester 43 >> Juliana Michniak made the most of her first game back after being sidelined due to illness. Michniak scored 15 points to lead the Lions (2-4) to an overtime victory over the Clippers.

Shod’deah Kelly paced the Clippers with 16 points, while Cherokee Burton added 13.

Christian Academy 35, Gloucester Christian 22 >> Lindsay Haseltine posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Danay Cooks-Green chipped in seven points and eight boards to help the Crusaders (4-1) cruise.

Villa Joseph Marie 42, Sun Valley 23 >> Kate Lannon scored 13 points, but the Vanguards (3-3) couldn’t come back after being shutout, 12-0, in the first period.
