Glacken-Rudy duo get Ridley rolling in opener

Shannon Glacken and All-Delco Gabrielle Rudy made sure the Ridley girls swimming team started its season on a positive note with a 100-79 nonleague victory over Merion Mercy Monday afternoon.

Glacken bettered the District One Class AAA qualifying standard in diving with a score of 213.80, while Rudy was in on four victories. She won the 50 freestyle and helped the Green Raiders sweep all three relays.

Kiera Wadsworth, Heather Bogardus and Marsiela Rechner also were triple winners for Ridley. Wadsworth won the 200 and 500 freestyle and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay. Bogardus also was a member on the three winning relay teams and Rechner captured the 100 freestyle and was part of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay squads.
