Conestoga moves up to 2nd in SE Pa. soccer coaches poll

The Conestoga High School boys’ soccer team advanced to second place in the Southeast Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association Poll of Nov. 2.

Other Main Line teams ranked in the top 10 included Malvern Prep (eighth) and Haverford School (ninth).

The top 20 boys teams were ranked as follows in the Nov. 2 poll (won-loss records included): Central Bucks East (first place, 19-0), Conestoga (second, 17-0-1), Roman Catholic (third, 16-1-2),  Father Judge (fourth, 18-1), West Chester Henderson (fifth, 15-3), Springfield Delco (sixth, 16-3-2), Pennsbury (seventh, 14-5-2), Malvern Prep (eighth, 12-2-2), Haverford School (ninth, 13-3-1), Abington (10th, 16-5), North Penn (14-4-2, 11th), Boyertown (14-4-2, 12th), Owen J Roberts (16-5-1, 13th), Downingtown West (14-5-2, 14th), Council Rock North (13-5-2, 15th), Penn Charter (10-2-3, 16th), Upper Dublin (15-5, 17th), Plymouth Whitemarsh (13-4-2, 18th), La Salle (12-4-1, 19th) and Marple Newtown (14-5, 20th).

The top 10 girls teams were ranked as follows: Central Bucks East (19-0, first place), Spring Ford (16-2-2, second), Council Rock North (13-4-3, third), Downingtown West (14-5, fourth), Pennsbury (18-2, fifth), West Chester Henderson (15-3, sixth), Archbishop Ryan (18-1-1, seventh), Owen J Roberts (15-6, eighth), Central Bucks South (11-7-2, ninth) and West Chester Rustin (17-3, 10th).
