King’s late goal lifts Strath Haven

Liz King snapped a scoreless draw in the second half and Strath Haven’s defense did the rest in a 1-0 Central League decision over Penncrest.

King accounted for the game’s lone goal in the 60th minute on a pass from Julianne DeCarlo. Katie Fisher made two saves to notch the shutout in goal.

Kaya Allen performed admirably in net for the Lions, stopping four shots.

Radnor 1, Springfield 1 >> The Cougars’ Olivia Little scored the equalizer in the second half as both teams came away with a point. Maura Holst found the back of the net for Radnor.

Marple Newtown 6, Upper Darby 0 >> Megan Lynch fueled an offensive onslaught by the Tigers with two goals. Becca Ritchie, Rebecca Gallagher, Julia Lynch and Sarah Meier all netted a goal and keeper Megan MacNeal stopped four shots.

Garnet Valley 4, Lower Merion 0 >> Britney Dragoni powered the Jaguars with three goals while her sister, Gia, added one goal and two assists. Freshman Julia Burnell contributed two assists for the Jags (5-4-4) and keeper Ashley Bufano made one save.

Conestoga 4, Ridley 0 >> Lisa Gale thwarted six shots in net for the Green Raiders (3-9, 1-7).

In the Del Val League:

Chichester 4, Interboro 3 >> Megan Carroll registered a hat trick and Maddie Walsh scored a goal for the Eagles. Megan Billbrough, Madison Hengey and Deana Rivello tallied for the Bucs, who fell short in its comeback bid after trailing 4-1 at halftime.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 5, Notre Dame 1 >> Ana Salvucci, Olivia Dirks, Molly O’Brien, Lily Shaner and Julia Hondros led a balanced scoring attack by EA, recording a goal apiece. Phoebe McClernon tallied for the Irish.

Germantown Academy 3, Agnes Irwin 0 >> GA keeper Kat Stambaugh made eight saves in goal en route to the shutout. Goals by Mac Pluck, Emmy Dolaway and Emily Williams proved too steep for the Owls to overcome. Goalie Kendall Shein finished with nine saves for AIS.

 

In nonleague action:

Christian Academy 6, MaST Charter 1 >. Grace Cryan and Grace Gormley had two goals apiece as the Crusaders (7-0-1) remained unbeaten for the season. Madison Dutton made 10 saves to preserve the shutout.
