Sydnes cards 36 as Radnor tops Harriton

Michael Sydnes showed the way as four of the top five players finished within four strokes of par to lead Radnor to a 193-210 victory over Harriton in Central League golf action Wednesday.
Sydnes posted three birdies en route to a 1-over par 36. Chris Austen and Jake Calamaro finished two strokes behind Sydnes and Minwoo Kwak carded a 4-over 39 for the Raiders at Gulph Mills Golf Club.
Haverford High 221, Phoenixville 232 >> Matt Speers and Dave Auerbach shared medal honors to lead the Fords (2-0, 1-0 Central League) to a nonleague win.
Speers, a senior co-captain, and Auerbach, a sophomore, both finished at 7-over par 43 at Pickering Valley Golf Club. Auerbach started his round with a birdie on the par 4 first hole. Senior co-captain Frankie McVeigh turned in an 8-over par 44 for the Fords.
