Dragoni leads the way in victory for Garnet Valley

Brittany Dragoni picked a good time to get her Garnet Valley team on the winning side of the ledger.

Dragoni scored the equalizer in the second half off a feed from Jenna Buttermore, then set up Macy Goldbach for the game-winner midway through the second overtime period to lead the Jaguars to a 2-1 win over Penncrest.

Ashley Bufano made the lead stand up with two saves for GV (1-3, 1-1 Central League).

Daniela Faux scored in the first half to stake previously unbeaten Penncrest (4-1, 1-1) to an early lead. Kayla Allen made eight saves in net.

Marple Newtown 3, Harriton 2: Megan Lynch scored two goals in the final 11 minutes to help the Tigers (3-1-1, 1-1 Central) complete the comeback.

Julia Lynch also scored for Marple, which got five saves from Amanda Goodyear.

Haverford 3, Lower Merion 1: Olivia Butera scored twice and set up Greta Ungvary’s goal as the Fords earned the win.

Strath Haven 7, Ridley 1: Lizzie King accumulated a hat trick, and Carly Glassford chipped in a pair of goals as the Panthers’ quick-strike offense registered five goals in 12 minutes in the first half to put the game out of reach.

Rachel Smith’s goal courtesy of a Sam Najmola assist briefly got Ridley even at one apiece.

Conestoga 2, Springfield 0: Madison D’Ambrosio made 10 saves for Springfield (1-1-3, 0-1-1 Central), but she couldn’t keep out second-half goals by Alice Reagan and Paige Kozlowski.

In nonleague action:

Interboro 1, Phil-Mont Christian 0: Deanna Rivello notched the only goal of the game in the 61st minute, the assist going to Madison Hengey, and Shannon Butler stopped the only shot to come her way as Interboro (2-1) got the win.

Agnes Irwin 4, Friends’ Central 1: Lydia Bartosh marked her first career start with a hat trick, Emily Fryer added a goal and Kendall Shein made two saves in her debut as Agnes Irwin opened its season with a nonleague triumph.

Notre Dame 5, Archbishop Carroll 1: Julia Dambly scored one and assisted on three goals, and Gabriella Agnes paired two goals with a helper to lead Notre Dame to a nonleague triumph.

In a Tri-State Christian Athletic Conference game:

Cumberland Christian 7, Christian Academy 2: Grace Cryan paired a goal with an assist, and Carli Sitkowski added a first-half goal, but the Crusaders (1-1, 1-1 Tri-State Christian) were outscored 4-0 after halftime.
